Gumi

Always was a fan of the original Vocaloid designs, and when I found this one, I just had to!

Construction Notes

Alas, I did NOT make the petticoat. I knew that I would get myself into more than I could handle so I paid the price and had one made for me. It's very full and fluffy, AND I LOVE IT.The dress was made by me. I first made a mock up with the top and skirt as two separate peices. I sewed the mickup together, and cut in new seams in order to make the panels of the dress match Gumi's. In order to draft the circle skirt, I waited until I got the petticoat, and did a few math calculations along with some trial and error until I had a skirt full and long enough to cover my huge petticoat.

Other than the dress, everything else I purchased (wig, shoes, gloves and socks). I also bought the fedora, but added the embellishments on myself. The flowers were actually tie backs (for curtains) from the fabric store I work at. I just ripped the plastic claw off the back, and trimmed some of the petals off a few so that I had varying sizes.
